Join MITES on Saturday, November 22, from 10 am* - 3 pm, at MIT as we celebrate the learnings and achievements of our MITES Saturdays scholars during the Fall Semester of this special 50th anniversary year. Participants are encouraged to RSVP by Tuesday, November 18, to assist with our planning for the event.

- 8th grade: Materials Science & Chemistry
- 9th grade: Mechanical Engineering
- 10th grade: Computer Science
- 11th grade: Aerospace Engineering
- 12th grade: Engineering Design

Please note that Splash will host an event in Lobby 10 on the same day as the MITES Saturdays Symposium. To prevent confusion, follow the MITES signage to find the various presentation rooms. MITES staff, wearing their branded shirts, will be available to assist visitors—more details about exact presentation locations will be provided closer to the event.

MITES Saturdays is a multi-year STEM academy for 7-12th graders in Boston, Cambridge, and Lawrence public schools. Through a hands-on instructional approach, students increase their mastery of academic subjects, strengthen their understanding of the practical application of math and science concepts, discover new academic and professional opportunities, and gain exposure to a college environment.
MIT Introduction to Technology, Engineering, and Science (MITES) provides cost free, transformative STEM experiences for students from underserved backgrounds—changing thousands of lives and the face of the STEM fields. For nearly 50 years, we’ve been a leading national pre-college STEM program—a pioneer in building access and opportunity for middle and high school students to pursue STEM.
